My pile of books is right on the desk beside me, so I am not sure what is technically the closest book to me, but right now I am reading The Well Adjusted Child: The Social Benefits of Homeschooling, by Rachel Gathercole.

But, one could argue, nevertheless they are the rites of childhood in this, a predominately school-going culture. Indeed, they may well be experiences that most children today do go through. But does that make them good?
